We usually order the 50 prawns platter with chips, rice, and trio sauces. The prawns were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The tables are spaced out nicely, and it's a family-friendly place. The waitress that served us was very good. Parking is an issue. They have a very small parking next to the restaurant but it's always full. There are side street parking or paid parking nearby. Would definitely recommend it if you're a sea food lover.- Food

Car parks only 6 cars but parking on main street, pay n display. Dishes were min £25, jug of soft drink £10. Plenty of space inside, a little cold though. Other food options available if you don't fancy prawns too. Fish, burgers etc.- Service

Went to Jimmy's Killer Prawns in Leicester yesterday for the first time after friends were raving about it.
Went with the 4 friends from London and the trip there was well worth it! We left at 6pm and got there for after 8pm.
The food...well it was really good! The prawns were of good size and cooked spot on. The different flavours used were very good and wasn't overpowering as you can taste the actual natural taste of the prawns in amongst the flavours.
We ordered the Prawn Fiesta platter where they give different types of prawns that have different flavours to them and the Saucy Prawns platter has medium sized prawns served up in their secret sauce that has a nice bit of spicy hit to it and both are served with rice and chips. They give 3 different sauces along with the food and the garlic butter sauce is the one! The food was served promptly even though the restaurant was really busy and took me by surprise when the food turned up. They give little red metal buckets to dispose of the prawns shells and ask if you want to use rubber gloves and a plastic bib, because it can get messy with all the prawns juices and Jimmy's sauces! For drinks we ordered their mocktails and from what my friends said yesterdays drinks weren't as good as last time they had the same drinks. The 5 of us finished it all off and was the perfect amount of food.
The restaurant itself is of a very good size and the seating sections and booths are laid out nicely with plenty of space in and around to walk around and not feel like you're brushing past people. Very family friendly as there was families and groups coming in and the place was very busy and had a nice "noisy" atmosphere to it. Didn't have to wait to get seated.
Will be making a visit with the family definitely and highly recommend it for people to make a visit if you are going up north or live nearby!- Parking
- There a small carpark onsite of the restaurant and street parking also. We went after restricted hours so found parking luckily as it was busy.

I could eat at this place every day! Their food is just so delicious and satisfying. I'm a huge fan of their prawn platters—they're simply irresistible! And let's not forget about their amazing beef tenderloin. While I'd suggest skipping the burgers, everything else on the menu is absolutely fantastic! Just make sure to plan ahead and reserve a parking spot nearby, especially on busy days or weekends. Whether you're gathering with family or meeting up with friends, Jimmy's is the perfect spot for a great meal and good times.- Service

10/10 for customer service, 10/10 on food tastes, 10/10 on presentation of the place and overall 10/10 on everything. Team member recommended a dish and it was out of this world. I like it spicy and it was up my street. Will definitely be coming back soon and will recommend this place to everyone. Keep up the good work guys.
Really good! The food was amazing and the service even better. Thanks to our server Ahmed, we ended our night smoothly. The portions are filling and flavourful, well worth the money.

Amazing!!!! I’ve been to the Manchester one so being in Leicester I had to try this one too! I have to say, it didn’t let us down. We had the mountain of prawns with chips, crabs & rice, seafood paella, queen prawns & rice…and the passionfruit lemonade. Every dish was just awesome! Can’t wait to be back again!

Absolutely delicious the sauce was hot and spicy the prawns were a good size, little bit stingy on the chips which is why we had to order a second but didn’t quite get through it. Could have drank that sauce! Perfect for the family. Good value too.

Went here for my birthday and I I was not disappointed. The meals were hot, fresh and delicious. I never had to wait long for my meals at all. I was a little disappointed that being it was a birthday treat, they never offered a free dessert. That's the norm for other restaurants in the UK. Also when I visit other Jimmy's Killer Prawns overseas, they give a free dessert and sing you a happy birthday song. Something to make you feel extra special.
Other than that, the food was great, the atmosphere was nice and even though it was full in capacity it wasn't noisy. I didn't felt rushed to have my meals. Buckets were provided to put your waste and there is always someone to take it away from your table. Gloves and other plastics were provided so you won't ruin your outfit. And there were antibacterial wipes provided also.
Overall, I enjoyed my time here.- Service

We were fortunate to finding a parking space next to the restaurant. Was very busy so had to go upstairs to overflow. No alcohol is served, has apple juice, we didn't wait long for our food, which steaming hot. The chicken livers were great, my prawn dish was excellent and the cod and chips likewise. Overall the service was excellent all round. Good value for money. We enjoyed the livers so much, took 4 portins as and a prawn platter (18) as takeaways .- Parking

Came here for a family meal, from young children to grandparent, we were all happy customers. Can't recall ever having prawns as juicy and succulent than from Jimmy's! Top marks for also the other mains we had, grilled chicken with veg and rice, grilled chicken burger and fish burger. Menu is healthier than alot of places about. Good place for one off gatherings.

Jimmy's Killer Prawns is a must-visit spot if you're a seafood lover! The atmosphere was buzzing, and despite not having a booking, the staff were incredibly accommodating. The service was impressively fast, even during busy times. One thing that sets Jimmy's apart is the unique experience of being provided with gloves to de-shell and eat the prawns with. It adds a fun and interactive element to the meal. The prawns were fresh and delicious, and the overall dining experience was fantastic. I highly recommend giving Jimmy's Killer Prawns a try!- Service

I've tried the Jimmy's in Manchester and loved it but this branch is much better. Firstly service was very good. The hostess was very attentive and efficient. The food was spot on, we ordered the Jimmys Saucy prawns and Paella. Decent price and explosive flavours. We came from London to try it out .. well worth the journey. Hope to be back soon

Really amazing first time experience here. We’ve been served by Ahmed and he provided us with exceptional service- came every now and then and made sure we had everything we needed. The taste was spot on, we had the killer prawn platter for 2 and it was just the perfect portion for 2 people. Servings were generous. Would definitely recommend coming here!
